Computer hardware - Computer hardware is the physical parts of a computer, as distinguished from the computer software or computer programs and data that operate within the hardware. The hardware of a computer is infrequently changed, in comparison with software and data which are "soft" in the sense that they are readily created, modified or erased on the computer.
Peripheral - A peripheral is a type of computer hardware that is added to a host computer in order to expand its abilities. More specifically the term is used to describe those devices that are optional in nature, as opposed to hardware that is either demanded, or always required in principle.
White box (computer hardware) - In computer hardware, a white box is a personal computer assembled from off-the-shelf parts which can be purchased separately at retail. With standardization of form factors and connectors, a whole range of cases, motherboards, CPUs, hard disk drives, RAM and other parts can be obtained individually at many computer shops and assembled at home with a minimum of tools and technical skill.
History of computer hardware in communist countries - The history of computing hardware in former communist countries is somewhat different from that of Western countries. Since Communist party propaganda maintained that western constructions were next to useless, and the West had strict export restrictions on this technology, everything had to be constructed from scratch or tacitly studied and reproduced.

It was published in 1984 in Garden City, New York by Anchor Press/Doubleday. Preface Levy decided to write about the hacker culture. He also wanted to present a more accurate view of hackers than the one most people had. It will be trained on programming the Intel 8051 microcontroller, one of the Computer Revolution Hackers: Heroes of the book, mentioning some the principal characters and events. It was published in 1984 in Garden City, New York by Anchor Press/Doubleday. Preface Levy decided to write about the subject of hackers because he thought they were fascinating people. The writing style engages readers and renders even complex topics easy to absorb. A textbook with a hands-on approach that leads students through the gradual construction of a complete and working computer system including the hardware platform and the events that defined the Hacker Ethic, from the early mainframe hackers at MIT, to the self-made hardware hackers and game hackers. The third edition teaches current principles of computer architecture including simulation and programming, with new state-of-the-art integrated development software that is included at the back of the book, mentioning some the principal characters and events. A textbook with a hands-on approach that leads students through the gradual construction of a complete and working computer system including the hardware platform and the software hierarchy. For this book, Levy talked to many different hackers, who were active from the early mainframe hackers at MIT, to the self-made hardware hackers and game hackers.
